We partnered with Space Studio to deliver a premium bar and seating area for Queenstown Airport’s international lounge. It was imperative the design reflected the sophistication of the region.

The team were faced with some formidable challenges; tight deadlines, security restrictions where onsite work was completed between 10pm and 3:30am under artificial lighting. The island was to be relocatable and maintain unobstructed visibility to meet security protocols.

Inspired by Skippers Canyon schist, the bar’s frontage was framed inhouse and the result was bold in concept and sharp in execution.
